Summary
Gene Hackman is Jedediah Tucker Ward, a brilliant and famous civil liberties lawyer who has dedicated his life to seeking justice for underdogs and lost causes. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is Marrie, his estranged and equally brilliant daughter, new in line for partnership at one of the elite corporate law firms her father despises.
A court of law becomes battleground for their rivalry when they face each other as opposing attorneys in a multi-million dollar lawuit involving a potentially defactive auto design. More than money is at stake. The case may involve high-level corporate corruption and violations of legal ethics. Pursuing the truth may endanger their careers - or their lives!
